Which payment methods can appear at checkout?

Are card details processed by Joomla or VirtueMart?
No. Card and wallet credentials are entered on and handled by the Nexi Hosted Payment Page. The extension sends order information and retrieves the resulting payment state.

Yes. Card installments can be offered from configurable order-total tiers, subject to the installment quantities enabled in the merchant’s Nexi agreement.
Can I capture or refund a payment from VirtueMart?
Yes, when the verified Nexi operation exposes the corresponding action. The extension supports permitted full or partial capture and refund amounts with authorization and repeat-operation protections.
What happens if the customer closes the payment page?
The extension can still verify the transaction when Nexi reaches the notification endpoint or when an administrator later opens the VirtueMart order. A browser success or return page is never used as payment proof by itself.
Which Joomla and VirtueMart versions are supported?
Version 1.0.0 supports Joomla 4 and Joomla 5. Tested with version 4.6.8 of VirtueMart. Joomla 6 is not supported in this release.
Does it support subscriptions or stored cards?
No. Version 1.0.0 does not include stored cards, recurring payments or subscription billing, and it does not support Nexi contracts outside XPay Greece.
